Varietal honey mead
Single species meads
Single-species meads are made by fermentation from a mixture of single-species honey and water without the addition of spices or herbs. In the Czech Republic, you will most often come across meads made from acacia, linden, sunflower or forest honey. In our range of meads, we now also have mead made from chestnut honey, which is quite rare in the Czech Republic, but very common and popular in Slovenia, for example.
Special meads are considered delicacies among meads, as they allow the unique aroma and taste of the special honey used to stand out. The most valuable are those produced by the cold method.
